This trip is designed and organised by ARSA [www.arsa.ru]
The Friends of Kholui [society set up to promote and support the lacquer villages] has worked with ARSA for about 15 years. ARSA is based in Moscow and specialises in art and cultural tours within Russia. The business is run by Ludmilla and Vladimir Fishchuk. For health reasons Vladimir has been unable to update the ARSA website recently. The information below is up to date.
Tuesday 11th September:
Delegates and visitors to arrive in Moscow
Transfer to hotel "Varshava”

5pm Civic Reception and official opening of WFM exhibition
Thursday 13th September

Afternoon: Leisure time
Friday 14th September
Tourist day in Moscow area. For details see above link
a.m. Villages tour leaves for Sergei Posad, Suzdal. Overnight in Suzdal
Saturday 15th September
As above
Villages tour travels to Palekh. Visit Museum and meet some of the artists.
Travel to Kholui. Visit Village Museum and School; Probable picnic with an artist. Stay overnight in Vladimir
Sunday 16th September
Morning: Moscow party has leisure time
Villages tour returns to Moscow by 12 noon approx. Afternoon boat trip as on Moscow module.
Afternoon: Farewell river boat trip with fork supper
10.00pm: St. Petersburg party leave by train for St. Petersburg
In the evening, those wishing to continue to St. Petersburg will take the train and continue with the St.Petersburg module.
Monday 17th September
8.00am St. Petersburg party arrives in St. Petersburg
Morning: after breakfast Moscow and village party leave for airport and return home

NB this is an “add-on” to the Moscow or Village trip. Please note that this section is costed, and must be paid for in Euros

- Railway ticket from Moscow to St. Petersburg – approximately US$100 - US$200 depending on class of travel chosen.

The final price of this trip depends upon the number of people in the group, as follows:
